We will be hosting our second Undergraduate Research Night (URN) of the year. We will be showcasing the efforts of the undergraduate researchers that were working in our department over the summer. This time we will focus on people who may have missed out on our first URN event due to the timelines of their research projects. We will follow this event with another Games Night in ITB 225

Welcome New and Returning Graduate Students!

We will be hosting the first installment for the new school year of our recurring Student Seminar Series. In these hour-long sessions we invite fellow ITB graduate students to give a short talk (15 minutes or less) on a CS, SE or other Science and Engineering topic of their choice. All are welcome to attend and participate in these events and refreshments will be provided.

This month's seminar will be followed by a Hike-n-Pint at the Phoenix!

LICS Goes to Supercrawl 2017

Supercrawl is a relatively new Hamilton tradition and has already become one of the countries largest free music festivals. In 2014 it attracted over 160, 000 people to the downtown core. In addition to live music there will be food trucks, street art, street vendors, and most businesses and Art Galleries on James Street will be open to the public.

LICS Goes to the Ex

The Canadian National Exhibition (CNE) is a summer's-end tradition in Toronto; There will be tonnes of rides and food to enjoy.

We will be leaving around 4pm in order to get there around 5pm. We will be meeting up at ITB. Admission will not be comped due to limited funds. Please bring $5 for admission. We will pay for parking if you choose to carpool with us.

Bring extra spending money as there will be a variety of booths set up where you can buy food and other merchandise. There is also a Casino and rides to go on.

Student Seminar and Bowling Night

We will be having another LICS graduate seminar August 17th, 2017 in ITB 201 from 2:30 - 3:30. Refreshments will be provided! Our speakers will be Spencer Park and Nicholas Moore.

Following the seminar, you are welcome to join us for Bowling at University Lanes from 4:30 - 6:00! Admission and shoe rentals are free, though no outside food or drink is allowed in the bowling alley. University Lanes is located at University Plaza, a short bus ride from Campus.
